BROTHER Angus
BROTHER Angus, a founding member of BROTHER, arrived in Los Angeles from Australia with his brothers as little more than fresh-faced farm boys, when to be on the road meant having a pocket full of change to phone agents and venues from phone booths at gas stations, and albums were recorded onto 2-inch tape. In LA, they started off busking at Venice Beach, the Hollywood Bowl and Universal Studios to pay the rent. Soon after, they were touring the country playing some of the biggest festivals, with fans lining up for hours after each show to buy the CDS and merch and have a moment with the boys.
Surviving internal fallout and the realities of growing families, it was Angus who kept the flame burning, ever-evolving the trademark BROTHER sound until he turned around one day to find he was the last man standing.
After surviving a near-fatal staph infection in 2023, Angus found new inspiration in both life and music. Now, blending his rock and Celtic roots with haunting, otherworldly melodies, Brother Angus re-emerges with a sound shaped by resilience and transformation—ready to take fresh listeners and longtime fans on a powerful new journey.
It is a lot of things, but at its molten centre, the story of BROTHER Angus is one of survival.
